Studio Sabado is the workshop and studio concept operated by Andrea Frieling Ceramics.

By placing an order or booking a workshop, you agree to these Terms & Condition.

2. Handmade ceramics

All ceramics sold through Andrea Frieling Ceramics are handmade. Because each piece is made by hand, small differences in shape, size, colour, texture or glaze are part of the process and are not considered defects. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen and the natural variations of the glaze. Ceramics are made for their intended use as described on the product page. Care instructions can be found in the FAQ.

3. Prices

All prices shown on the website are the total prices payable by the customer. Andrea Frieling Ceramics operates under the Belgian small business VAT exemption scheme, meaning that VAT is not charged separately. Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown during checkout before the order is completed. Andrea Frieling Ceramics reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been placed and paid for.

4. Orders and payment

An order is placed once the customer has completed the checkout process and payment has been successfully received. We accept the payment methods available at checkout, with the exception of PayPal. An order confirmation will be sent by email after successful payment. If a product is sold out, this will be indicated on the website and the product cannot be ordered until it becomes available again. If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed due to an unexpected issue, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate solution.

5. Processing and shipping

Orders for items that are in stock are normally processed and shipped within 5 working days. We currently ship to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Denmark, Austria, Spain,Portugal, Italy and United States

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout.

Orders shipped within Belgium qualify for free shipping from €98.

Once an order has been shipped, the customer will receive tracking information where available. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by the carrier or circumstances outside our control.

6. Studio collection

Studio collection is available at:

Studio Sabado
Graethempoort 2
Borgloon, Belgium

Customers who choose studio collection will receive information about when their order is ready for collection.

7. Returns

For regular webshop purchases, you have the right to return your order within 14 calendar days after receiving it, in accordance with the applicable Belgian consumer rules. If you wish to return an item, please contact us within this period.

Returned items must be unused, undamaged and safely packed. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. Once the returned item has safely arrived at the studio, the purchase amount will be refunded using the original payment method. We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning ceramics, as the customer is responsible for the return shipment until it reaches us.

Custom and personalised orders

Custom or personalised pieces are made specifically at the customer's request and cannot be returned under the standard return policy, except where the law provides otherwise.

8. Damaged or incorrect items

Please contact us as soon as possible if your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item, or if there is another problem with your order.

Please keep the packaging and take photographs of the damaged item and packaging where possible. This helps us assess what happened and contact the shipping provider if necessary.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights or legal guarantee.

9. Legal guarantee

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits the consumer's statutory rights or the legal guarantee applicable to consumer purchases under Belgian law.

If a product is defective or does not conform to the agreement, please contact us so that we can assess the situation and find an appropriate solution.

10. Workshops and courses

Studio Sabado offers different types of ceramics workshops and courses, including wheel throwing and handbuilding. Workshop places are limited and are only secured once the booking and payment have been completed. Workshop prices, dates, duration and practical information are stated on the relevant workshop page at the time of booking

11. Your workshop pieces

Ceramics made during a workshop need to go through drying and firing processes after the workshop. The normal waiting time for pieces made during a one-off workshop is approximately 4–6 weeks. Because ceramics are a handmade and natural process, the final result cannot always be guaranteed. Pieces may sometimes crack, warp, break or otherwise change during drying or firing. Small imperfections or variations can occur as part of the ceramic process. The studio will handle the pieces with care, but Studio Sabado cannot guarantee that every piece will survive the complete drying and firing process.

12. Collection of workshop pieces

Finished workshop pieces are kept at the studio for 2 weeks after you have been notified that they are ready. It is the customer's responsibility to collect their finished pieces within this period. If you know that you will not be able to collect your work within this timeframe, please contact us as soon as possible.

13. Workshop cancellations

Workshop and course cancellations are subject to the Cancellation Policy published on the website and made available before booking.

For one-off workshops:

Cancellation at least 48 hours before the workshop: you may move your booking once to another available workshop. Cancellation less than 48 hours before the workshop or a no-show: no refund or rescheduling is available.

For multi-week courses:

Cancellation up to one month before the start date: refund minus a €45 administration fee. Cancellation less than one month before the start date: no refund. Missed lessons cannot be made up.

The cancellation policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

14. Right of withdrawal for workshops

Workshops and courses that take place on a specific date or during a specific period are leisure services for which the statutory 14-day withdrawal period does not apply. For this reason, workshop bookings are subject to the cancellation conditions stated above rather than the standard 14-day webshop return period.

15. Private workshops

Private workshops are available on request. The number of participants, price, duration and format depend on the type of workshop and are agreed individually before booking.

Private workshops can also be arranged for businesses or groups. Workshops at an external location may be possible by arrangement. Specific terms for a private workshop will be agreed before the booking is confirmed.

16. Children and studio safety

The minimum age depends on the type of workshop. As a general guideline:

Handbuilding workshops: from approximately 6 years old
Wheel throwing workshops: from approximately 10 years old

Parents or guardians remain responsible for children participating in a workshop.

For safety and practical reasons, participants should not wear rings, bracelets or watches while working with clay. Long nails can make wheel throwing difficult and may affect the participant's experience. Ceramics workshops can be messy. Clothing may get dirty, so participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing and bring an apron if desired. Participants are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions given during the workshop.

17. Personal responsibility

Participants take part in workshops at their own responsibility. Studio Sabado takes reasonable care to provide a safe working environment and appropriate guidance, but cannot be held responsible for injury, damage to personal belongings or other loss resulting from failure to follow safety instructions or from the normal risks associated with working with clay and ceramics, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

18. Intellectual property

All photographs, texts, illustrations, designs, logos and other content on andreafrieling.be and related Studio Sabado channels are the property of Andrea Frieling Ceramics unless otherwise stated. They may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without prior written permission.

19. Complaints and contact

If something is not right with an order, workshop or service, please contact us directly so that we have the opportunity to look into it and find an appropriate solution.

You can reach us at: hello@andreafrieling.be

We always encourage customers to contact us first before taking further steps.

20. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version applicable to your order or booking is the version that was available on the website at the time you placed your order or booking.

21. Applicable law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Belgian law.

Any disputes will, where possible, first be resolved through direct communication between the customer and Andrea Frieling Ceramics.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply under Belgian or European law.
